Raining this morning, so I'm posting a couple of inside pics of Scruffy and Tigger. Scruffy rides in the truck with us, and Tigger stays in the camper as security (BEWARE OF CAT!)
Tigger always has food, water, and his litter box available, and spends most of his time curled up on the bed. Third pic is my personal favorite, Sandi! She tends to always be behind the camera, so I'm showing you all that she is really here.

Safe arrival at Indian Creek CG
Again too dark for pictures tonight. However , we arrived safely at Indian Creek recreation area on Mark Twain Lake near Hannibal Missouri. We will be here for 2 nights. Driving in we saw 3 deer , including a young buck. Tomorrow we will be taking a Riverboat dinner cruise and hope to have some pictures. It was a long day with some unnecessary drama. I learned today that my auxiliary fuel tank is only 40 gallons , not 60.

Hurricane Creek, KY
Not the fanciest site, but we slept great, and now we're heading out for a walk. Bugs last night were EPIC! I've never seen so many.

Safely arrived at first stop.
Arrived safe and sound at our first stop, Hurricane Creek, Kentucky. About 360 miles today, and not without incident. We lost a box containing the tow handle and hoses for our tote tank. Somehow it jumped out of the truck bed.
We averaged 10.5 mpg.
By the time we got set up, plugged in and organized, it was too dark for pics, so I'll try to post a few tomorrow.

Almost ready to head out!!!
Leaving on Sunday morning. Nearly everything is packed and tied down. We'll have about an hour's work left to do on Saturday night (mostly to get the house ready to be empty while we're gone), and maybe 30-40 minutes on Sunday to hitch up, check the lights and brakes, and load up the pets (1 dog, Scruffy, and 1 cat, Tigger). Really psyched, but a bit nervous about all the wildfires out west where we want to go.

Getting antsy, moving up our start date.
Still making last minute preparations. Nearly ready to go, but our departure date is still too far off! The answer was simple, we are moving up our departure. We now plan to leave home on Sunday, August 28. We'll be spending two nights at our first stop, Hurricane Creek Recreation Area in Kentucky.
